I don't normally comment on developments on the PTR (Lifebloom nerf aside) as you're never really sure if the content will ever make it live. I'm going to make an exception though, as the new PTR build has done away with the Kara Attunement, or at least made it so that only one person in the raid needs the key - like Shattered Halls. Eyonix says on the official forums*
It's not a matter of difficulty, really. We wanted to make it more alt friendly at this point. I've gotten my kara key on four characters, and have helped a dozen others. I'm really quite content with never having to work on the attunement quest for kara again. Also, you should note that at least one person in the raid will need the Master's Key, as the gate will function much like Arcatraz or Shattered Halls.
Is this a good idea, or not? For alts, it's great - at least they have already done the quest and have worked in groups in several instances. The thing that Blizzard seem to be forgetting, however, is that there are still a large number of people who even now are just getting to level 70. You can now conceivably never group until a 10-man Kara raid.
While I'm not too worried about the effect it will have on The Elders, I think that I will still insist that people new to the guild/first time 70s complete the attunement chain - in some ways it's as important as the gear levels.

I see this in two ways. Attunement quests are a pain for experienced players who simply want to get from A to B without hassle. Getting rid of them is a godsend for altaholics like me.
However, attunement processes are supposed to gear check people for the next stage. Without them the forums will be full of whines like "I went to kara and we wiped 400 times, nerf kara". No attunment simply gives the morons the option to start interfering in raid content. They want to go to kara in greens, fine but if Blizz nerf raid content because of the mindless idiots then it totally negate the process.
As for Kara. I still will have a minimum standard of gear and a minimum standard of skill. If one lacks they simply don't come!
The thing about Blizzard is that they have a successful fan base. They don't need anybody else to successfully keep WoW going. This means they've shifted from gaining a fan base to keeping theirs. If they have seven alts and are sick of kara attunemenet, then of course Bliz will take this into serious consideration.
